
Red Ribbon Week® 2024 is this week– this year’s theme is: Life Is A Movie, Film Drug Free. At school, students will engage in activities that promote a drug free and healthy lifestyle. Please partner with us and discuss this message at home, at the dinner table, at family outings, and with friends and extended family. Monday (28th) Wear Red Tuesday (29th) Film your Life Drug Free (wear favorite movie/character clothing) Wednesday (30th) Lei' Off Drugs (Hawaiian attire) Thursday (31st) Put a Sock on Drugs Day (crazy socks) Friday (Nov 1st) Shade Out Drugs Day (wear Shades) IMPORTANT NOTE: If your student plans to wear their costume on Thursday, please note that masks, a fully painted face, and toy weapons cannot be worn. Costumes must be appropriate for school and follow the established dress code.

This is a great opportunity for your child to help collect items for those in need. Together we can- show love to Western NC.


Teachers’ Day aims to raise awareness of the importance of the role played by teachers all over the world. They dedicate their lives to making an impact on the way children learn and grow and turn into adults.


We're shouting from the rooftops- THANK YOU to everyone that helped make our new dismissal procedures run so smoothly! Because of the support and patience you all have shown us, we were able to cut the time of the car rider line each day. Thank you for working together to make Liberty Elementary School a safe place for our students!
