Hello!  My name is Amy Bowser.  My family and I moved here from Western Pennsylvania (Go Steelers!) in 2013.  All four of our children are in Randolph County Schools; Ramseur, SERMS, Eastern Randolph and Randolph County Early College.  I recieved my Bachelors of Science in Secondary Mathematics from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1995.  After graduating, I worked for three school districts as a substitute teacher and also taught at Sylvan Learning Center.  I became passionate about the enrichment and remediation pracitices and programs at Sylvan and worked as Center Director for two years.  After that, within eight years we had four children and I then took on the role of stay at home mom!  I loved every minute of it.  As my youngest neared Kindergarten I could feel my passion for teaching and reaching students resurface.  My husband felt called to take on a pastorate in Ramseur and I then began substitue teaching at the local schools.  An opportunity opened for me to begin my teaching career at Ramseur in Kindergarten, First grade and now Fifth grade.  My certification from Pennsylvania converted to Middle School and High School Mathematics and I was able to add on Elementary Education in North Carolina.  Recently, I completed the AIG licensure program at UNC Pembroke.  I am currently enrolled at UNCG in the Masters of Education program and will recieve certification in Elementary Science.

My family and I love North Carolina and have a heart for the Ramseur community.  Our children and church keep us very busy.  When we can, we enjoy hiking and camping and love the mountains.  We are very grateful for all the opportunities that have been extended to us from moving down here.
