Math Incentive

Introducing Math Champions

What is it?

An in-school math fact challenge to strengthen math fluency.

How does it work?

Staff members will come in once a week to practice grade-level specific math facts.  Students will line up and will have three seconds to answer their given fact.  The number of math facts answered correctly in two minutes will be recorded. The highest number for each grade level will be the winners of the week and will receive one item towards their incentive.

Where are math incentive results displayed?

The Math Champions display is to the right of the media center doors in the main hallway. Weekly results are recorded there.

What do students earn?

The incentives will be quarterly and will be decided throughout the year.  Last year, students earned S'mores and Hot Chocolate based on the number of times their class won the weekly incentive.
